Good vs. Great

Today’s Message:

Now you may not hear a lot of stories about people who were almost millionaires or who were almost the Best. However there are a lot of people who missed being the next Mark Zuckerberg or Millionaire.

A study…

was done a while back about why people participate in the lottery, and a small amount of people believed that they had a good chance of winning. They believed they had a good chance cause they always see the winners or know there are winners even if they are anonymous.

The truth is…

that there are way way way more losers than there are winners by a very very large margin. I forget the actual numbers.

That’s not the point though…

The point I’m trying ot make today is there is a lot of awesome people in the world but the ones who seem to make it are willing to work extra hard. There willing to turn great failures there best accomplishments.

An example?..

-Donald Trump almost filed bankruptcy 

when asked how he handled it he said that he just went to work crunching the numbers and working hard to get out of the pinch

-Mac Miller rapped for 8 years before he became popular

never gave up his dreams, even mentioning his poverty in his songs
(I need a Dollar)

-Michael Jordan was cut from his high school team

He practiced and worked hard to become the greatest NBA player ever

So when you fail or it gets tough re-asses your goals and start running after them. There is no breaks for the best of the best, stay happy.

The story of Sleepiness

Today’s Message:

Now normally I would post something on how to better yourself or improve yourself but, today is just a story that I hope you’ll learn from.

Last Tuesday…

Now from the title you can tell this story is going to be about sleep and this story started to be honest last Tuesday. I’m in the band, drum line to be specific and I normally play cymbals, which isn’t all that bad.

Tuesday… (cont.)

But, this Tuesday I went to practice with a group of numerous band’s for a special event. I was unaware that for one I’d need to bring cymbals but I was grateful when they had an extra pair of cymbals. I began to play cymbals with this new group and they are slightly different than what I’m used to. So by the end of the day I asked to switch to Snare Drum. 

Sunday’s Practice…

Now there are like a total of 4 practices and I spent 1 on cymbals and the other Sunday practice I would miss because it was Father’s Day.

Monday…

So I asked for a good friend to come over and help me practice and he would end up spending the night. However because I wanted to learn all I could about the snare, I made sure to stay up and practice all night.

Tuesday (today)…

Today has been a struggle constantly falling asleep, getting angrier quicker, prone to complain nothing like my normal self. And I’m the type of person who doesn’t even like sleeping.

So when I came to write a daily weekly post it was the only thing that could come to mind, sleep.

How to avoid Nightmares?

Now after watching that video the question mark in How to avoid nightmares can mean two things. (if you know what I mean)

Now I can’t explain this video or even tell you if this is real or fake but despite that it’s kind of funny. However If you really did want to know how to avoid nightmares well don’t go anywhere you’re still in the right place. I’m going to teach you my personal secret to how to avoid nightmares.

1. Clear your mind- Have a a clear mind when you go to sleep

2. Be tired- Make sure your actually tired a restless and wandering mind could make for a havoc night’s sleep.

3. Avoid Food- Avoid food or sweets before bed, apparently they give you crazy dreams. This could however just be a myth.

4. Be relaxed- Stay Relaxed and think peaceful thoughts

5. Forget- My favorite method that I personally use to avoid nightmares is forgetting. Now I know your thinking, well that doesn’t help. Butt, if you forget you ever had a dream well than isn’t that the same as not having a dream at all.

Now you can do that 1 of 2 ways or maybe you can use both ways(who knows?).

The first method is when you wake up Immediately try organizing yourself and getting your self ready for the next day and don’t ever think about yesterday, your sleep, or anything like that. Just start your day.

The second method is to have an alarm clock especially a distracting one. It doesn’t always have to be loud or strange either. You could have an alarm clock like mines that requires you to do a math problem.
